Camp Tidbits

Lunches: Athletes need to bring a sack lunch with them. We do have a microwave on sight for anything that needs to be heated up. We also recommend that you send your children with a water bottle and a couple snacks for throughout the day. On Wednesdays, we will be offering the alternative of ordering a kid's meal from Quizno's. They have graciously agreed to prepare a healthy lunch option for our athletes. Order forms will go home the night before, or parents can call the gym and place their order the day before. On Fridays, we will be offering a pizza day. Those participating should bring in $3. They will receive at least two pieces of pizza, a drink, and a dessert. Both Quizno's and Pizza Day are optional. Those not wanting to participate simply send a normal packed lunch.

GymBags/Backpacks:We are asking this year for every athlete to arrive with a gym bag/backpack to keep their shoes, socks, and other personal items in. We are trying to avoid the great search for lost socks and what not at the end of each day. We are allowing the athletes to bring items from home (like books and games), during breaks, but please keep in mind, they can only be used during designated times of the day, and knowing that we are not responsible for lost items. Please take time to decide if items that your child wishes to bring to the gym are appropriate, and then discuss with your child the importance of taking responsibility for their own items.

Money We are also asking that if your child brings money to the gym, it is in an envelope with their name and the amount of money enclosed written on it. We then ask that all money be turned into the front desk for safe keeping. This includes money for special lunches or the vending machines.

Outside:
We know the athletes are fond of playing in Artsports unique water adventures, and adding to this years fun, a water castle! We ask that you send a bottle of sunscreen in the kids' backpacks, and possibly even a towel. If your preference is for your child to not be allowed outside this summer, please indicate so on the registration form. We see training breaks as a very important time to let athletes unwind and relax.
