Christin began dancing
at the age of 6 in Northern California where she trained in Classical
Ballet for 10 years. While attending San Jose State University she expanded
her dance experience to Jazz, Tap and Modern and performed for two summers
with The American Folk Ballet at "The Festival of the American West"
in Logan, Utah. Christin went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Dance and Theater from the University of California and moved to New York
City where she studied under Merce Cunningham and worked for the Cunningham
Foundation for two years. |

After returning
to the West Coast Christin joined the State Ballet of Oregon under the
directorship of Eric Hyrst (Royal Ballet of England & New York City
Ballet). Ashland, Oregon is home to the famous Shakespearian Festival
where the company performed "Ballet in the Park" every week
on the beautiful Festival grounds. Her favorite roles were the characters
of Swanilda in the romantic ballet, "Copellia" and as the
myopic stepsister in "Cinderella". |
