Local Athlete becomes National Champion!

St Louis, MO. - July 26- 30, ArtSports competed at the USA Championships, Trampoline, Power Tumbling & Gymnastics. With 3 qualifying team members, Randy Direen, 19 years old from Black Forest, became Colorado's first ever, National Champion and now ranked # 1 on Team USA. Mr. Direen over came a pulled groin muscle during warm ups. The next day Mr. Direen, scheduled to compete in the American World Cup as #1 Tumbler USA, found himself in greater pain than the day before. In spite of his pain, Mr. Direen won the bronze medal for USA finishing behind Russia, gold and France, silver. Bob Robbins, a 44 year old finished a disappointing 17th on Trampoline a mishap set him back form top 5 in the country. Josh Vance, 23 years old, places 9th on Trampoline and 10th on Double Mini Trampoline. Mr. Vance was selected onto Double Mini Trampoline Team, who won the gold medal in South Africa last year.

Cincinnati, OH. - June 26- 30, ArtSports competed at USA's Junior Olympic Trampoline and Tumbling National Championships, with 23 qualifying team members, boys and girls ranging in ages 5 to 15 yrs. ArtSports team members visited the top 10 victory stand 35 times. 12 year old Ashley Miller, 8 year old Stephen Anderson and 13 year old Adam Bonner are USA national champions. ArtSports won 4 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronz medal

    Las Vegas Nv. ArtSports Trampoline & Power Tumbling team took seven first
places in the USA Gymnastics National Ranking meet held on Jan. 15 & 16 at
MGM's Grand arena. Randy Direen is now considered the top power tumbling
athlete in the US.
